Hope Has A Name
Our first week of Advent is coming to a close. Our focus for this week has been Hope, and Hope has a name. That name is so powerful, that it can heal, save and give eternal life. That name can break chains and demolish walls. And we have full access to that name.
As we close out this week, let’s remember why we are hopeful and in whom we put our trust and faith. His birth is the best promise ever fulfilled. As you read the words and listen to this Christmas song, “Hope Has A Name,” thank Him and let Him know He is your Hope.
“When the world is closing in
And the darkness wants to come around again
When the sun is hiding somewhere
Will you ever see it rise on your despair.
I know you’ve heard it all before
Just be strong and keep your chin up
But when you’re too weak to fight
Just remember
Hope has a name
The name has a face
(Hope has a face)
And when you look into His eyes of love
You will never be the same
Your only hope is Jesus
Hope has a name.
You see the view from where I’m standing
Isn’t all that I imagined it would be, no
My dreams and expectations
Were interrupted by reality
So in light of where I’m living
I’m living every moment
And every moment I’ll spend
Forever knowing
Hope has a name (Chorus)
Hope has a way
Of rewriting every story
And the Author of our Faith
Remains our hope of glory
(Jesus is our hope of glory)
Hope has a name (Chorus)
Jesus is a powerful name
(Hope has a name)
Jesus has a beautiful face
(Hope has a name)
And when you look into HIs eyes
You won’t be the same.

Hope Has A Name
Prayer
Lord,
With a mind that is alert and fully sober, I set my hope on the grace to be brought to me when You are revealed at Your coming. I praise You because You will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish. May Your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in You. I wait for You, my whole being waits, and in Your word I put my hope. Your hope does not put me to shame, because Your love has been poured out into my heart through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to me. Therefore, I will always have hope; I will praise You more and more. Amen!
