Ready for A Breakthrough
It’s time to focus and block out all the negative voices that tell us what we can’t do. This is the year of “can do.” We’ve been whipsawed, spun around and put on a never ending roller coaster, but it’s time to shake it all off. We are no longer at the whim of every theory, opinion, or untruth. Our eyes are laser focused on Jesus, the lifter of our heads.
Dig deep, my friends, and dust off your convictions in what Jesus can do. Search and find the voice He gave you, the faith He instilled in you, the courage He built in you. Who told you that things will never change? Who said you aren’t good enough? Who told you Jesus is obsolete and it’s a new day? Who said you have no power?
We are done with those thoughts and those voices. We serve a God who loves us and wants only the best for us. He did not tell us life would always be easy, but He also didn’t tell us all is lost. Quite the contrary, He said if we trust in Him and if we have the faith of a mustard seed, He will answer our prayers and supply our needs.
Some of us are facing very hard financial times, even to the point of not having enough money to pay rent or mortgages. Some of us have lost our jobs and can’t find one now. Others of us have lost loved ones or have illnesses in our families. Some of us have been waiting for healing of our bodies, our minds and our relationships. Some of us are just afraid, anxious, depressed or lonely.
It doesn’t matter what your circumstances are, we know the Bread of Life, the Living Water, the Counselor, the Rose of Sharon, the Bright and Morning Star. Our hope is in Him and not what we can see. Our trust and faith rest on His will for our lives. We know that whether He makes our problems go away or whether He walks through them with us, we have the victory. He wins so we win.
Are you ready for a breakthrough in your life? There is no reason why you can’t experience one. When we get real with Jesus and see Him for who He really is, our breakthrough will come. It starts with believing that He is all powerful and that He can deliver us from our trials. Even if we aren’t sure how He will do it, having unwavering faith and trust brings breakthroughs.
It starts by releasing mad, bold unashamed praise! Add to it unabashed worship and honoring of the King. It doesn’t matter if you don’t feel like it. Trust me. As soon as you fall into praise and worship, His Presence will come forth and you will get wrapped in His love. Then just have a real one on one conversation with Him. Don’t hold back. He already knows how you feel, but He wants to hear from your lips what you have to say.
Then trust Him for the breakthrough you need. Be patient and wait expectantly all the while doing your part. Your breakthrough will come and it may be quite different from what you imagined. Whatever you do, don’t give up, don’t stop praising Him. Believe He is able and watch the chains fall.
“But You, Lord, are a shield around me, my Glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and He answers me from His holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side. Arise, Lord! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. From the Lord comes deliverance. May Your blessings be on Your people.” Psalm 3:3-8
Prayer
Lord,
In You, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. In Your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn Your ear to me and save me. Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel. For You have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have relied on You; You brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise You. You are my strong refuge. My mouth is filled with Your praise, declaring Your splendor all day long. As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise You more and more. My mouth will tell of Your righteous deeds, of Your saving acts all day long—though I know not how to relate them all. I will come and proclaim Your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord; I will proclaim Your righteous deeds, Yours alone. Since my youth, God, You have taught me, and to this day I declare Your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare Your power to the next generation, Your mighty acts to all who are to come. Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens, You who have done great things. Who is like You, God? Though You have made me see troubles, many and bitter, You will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth You will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more. I will praise You with the harp for Your faithfulness, my God; I will sing praise to You with the lyre, Holy One of Israel. My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to You—I whom You have delivered. My tongue will tell of Your righteous acts all day long, for those who wanted to harm me have been put to shame and confusion. To You be all glory and praise! Amen!
